Marking Time: ArtsEkta at 20 Exhibition Launch

Marking Time: ArtsEkta at 20 is a travelling exhibition marking twenty years of Artsekta’s work in intercultural arts, cultural participation and community connection across Northern Ireland.

Developed as part of Artsekta’s anniversary programme, the exhibition reflects on the organisation’s journey from its founding in the years following the Good Friday Agreement through to its role today in shaping more inclusive cultural spaces.

Rather than presenting a chronological archive, the exhibition has been designed as a reflective visitor experience — exploring how creativity can support belonging, build connection and create opportunities for people from different backgrounds to encounter one another.

Through a combination of narrative text, archive imagery and participant voices, the exhibition considers the social and cultural impact of Artsekta’s work across education, festivals, artist development, public space and civic life.
