Following a week of international artistic exchange, Rivers Remember invites audiences to experience the first public sharing of a new choreographic dialogue between Northern Ireland and India.Under the direction of Maiden Voyage Dance Company, internationally acclaimed Odissi dancer and choreographer Kavita Dwibedi and Northern Ireland contemporary dance artist Maeve McGreevy, explore how movement carries memory across cultures, landscapes and generations.
Inspired by the rivers of Ireland and India as living carriers of history, the work draws together the expressive language of classical Odissi and contemporary dance to reflect on identity, belonging and the stories our bodies remember.
Rivers Remember offers audiences a unique opportunity to witness an evolving creative process—where two distinct movement traditions meet through curiosity, collaboration and artistic exchange.
