Sam Porciello
Samantha Porciello is a Northern Irish storyteller and artistic director whose work blends theatre, nature, and neuroscience to support childrenâs wellbeing. As founder of Place to Wonder, she creates gentle, immersive story experiences that help families slow down, play, and Co regulate. Her awardâwinning project Dream a Little Dream has grown from outdoor theatre into a book and the upcoming animated series Luna in Dream Land.
Masako Carey
Japanese-born Storyteller Masako Carey has been living in rural County Antrim, Northern Ireland, since 2001. She shares stories in schools, libraries, museums, and community venues, engaging people of all ages and abilities. Her growing repertoire includes traditional Japanese tales - both humorous and serious - as well as stories from around the world. Masako has been a featured storyteller at various festivals, including Belfast Mela, the Cape Clear International Storytelling Festival, Glens of Antrim Storytelling Festival, Wicklow YARN Storytelling Festival, Galway Moth & Butterfly International Festival of Storytelling and Improvisation, FadĂł FadĂł Storytelling Festival, Story Tent in Dean's Yard at Westminster Abbey, and The Sneem Storytelling Festival. Additionally, Masako performs a Japanese story show titled "ă話ăOhanashi", which features four traditional stories that resonate deeply with audiences.
Vicki McFarland
Vicky McFarland is a Northern Irish storyteller, writer, and immersive arts producer known for her magical blend of myth, folklore, wellbeing, and cuttingâedge technology. As the creator of Tale Time Stories, she has spent over 20 years performing across schools, festivals, theatres, and community spaces, crafting experiences full of imagination, emotional depth, and connection. Her innovative 360° Story Dome shows and creative workshops bring stories to life for children and adults alike, making her one of the regionâs most dynamic voices in contemporary storytelling.
