A STORY OF BALANCE, BELONGING & HOPE

Earth Child is an epic new outdoor spectacle journey through time, the elements and the human spirit.

Created by ArtsEkta, Fidget Feet Aerial Dance and acclaimed artist Gráinne Holland to celebrate 20 years of Mela, the show tells the story of a child’s search for balance in a world unravelling — guided by ancient elemental tribes of Air, Water, Fire and Earth. Look up as the sky transforms into a stage, with performers soaring above the Belfast skyline from two towering cranes, suspended a thrilling 35 metres in the air.

Blending aerial dance, global drumming, storytelling, original music, lighting effects and fiery pyrotechnics, this outdoor spectacular features hundreds of performers in a story that speaks to our times — reminding us we are all connected.

Be Part of the Spectacle

Join the cast of Earth Child, an unforgettable outdoor performance blending music, movement, fire, and myth — and be part of something truly magical.

In Earth Child, the elemental tribes form the beating heart of the show — moving, dancing, and carrying powerful props that represent air, water, fire and earth. Together, they help bring the story to life through collective movement, rhythm, and colour on a grand scale.

No previous performance experience is needed — just enthusiasm and commitment. You’ll take part in creative workshops, prop and costume making, and rehearsals leading up to the final show on Sunday 23 August 2026 in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter to an audience of thousands.
