Event Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all visitors attending events organised by ArtsEkta as part of the Belfast Mela. By entering any Mela event space, you agree to abide by the following:
1. General Entry

Admission to festival events is subject to capacity and, where applicable, a valid ticket.

ArtsEkta reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person for health, safety, or behavioural reasons.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
2. Code of Conduct

All attendees must treat fellow visitors, staff, and performers with respect and courtesy.

No political, sectarian, or offensive flags, banners, symbols, or paraphernalia are permitted at any Belfast Mela event

Disruptive, abusive, or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event.

You are expected to follow any instructions given by festival staff or security at all times.
3. Health & Safety

Attendees enter festival sites at their own risk. Please be aware of uneven surfaces, weather conditions, and crowded areas.

In the event of an emergency, follow all announcements and directions from staff or stewards.

Alcohol and illegal substances are not permitted at any Mela event, unless otherwise stated. Anyone found in possession will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
- Pyrotechnics and other special effects may be used at events
4. Photography & Filming

By attending, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional use by ArtsEkta and its partners.

Personal photography is permitted for non-commercial use. Please be respectful when photographing other attendees.
5. Food & Allergies

Food is sold by independent vendors. ArtsEkta is not responsible for any allergen exposure or food-related illness.

Attendees with allergies must make themselves aware of ingredients before purchasing any food on site.
6. Ticketed Events

Tickets (where required) must be presented on entry to gain admission.

Refunds are only issued in the event of cancellation, unless otherwise stated.

Tickets may not be resold or transferred for commercial gain.
7. Weather & Event Changes

Events will proceed in most weather conditions. Please dress appropriately.

ArtsEkta reserves the right to alter or cancel any part of the programme without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
8. Personal Belongings

The festival accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Please keep your belongings with you at all times.
