Slovakian Association NI

The Slovakian Association of Northern Ireland is a vibrant community organisation based in Belfast, dedicated to celebrating and preserving Slovak culture while fostering connections between Slovak nationals and the wider Northern Irish society. Through cultural events, educational programs, and community outreach, the association provides a welcoming space for Slovaks living in Northern Ireland to engage with their heritage and share it with others.

Chinese Lion Dance

The Flying Dragon dancers amaze young and old with their daring acrobatic feats. The lion and dragon dances are traditional Chinese art performed on big occasions, such as the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) for good luck, as it is believed that the lion and dragon are auspicious animals. Performed in a lion and dragon costumes, accompanied by the music of beating drums, clashing cymbals, and resounding gongs, the dances imitate a various movements and demonstrate martial arts agility.
