Phew! If it all gets a bit too much and you need to take a breathier, what better place than the Mela’s World of Wellbeing?

Created by TONIC Health & Wellness, experience an globally-inspired area of calm admist all the bustle with a range of free workshops and sessions running throughout the Mela week in different locations across the city.

Qi Gong (pronounced Chee gong) is an ancient energy practice, like Tai Chi, that brings multiple benefits to body and mind. It is very slow and gentle and can be done by anyone. You don’t even need a mat. Many of the moves mirror things and processes in nature, and it is a beautiful practice to do outdoors. Curious? Come and give it a go and see for yourself.

Qi Gong events will take place throughout the week as follows:

  • Tuesday 24th August, 12noon-1pm at Drumglass Park with Fiona Jennings
  • Wednesday 25th August, 7pm-8pm at Waterworks Park with Mary
